Understanding ABA: What It Is
& What It Is Not
Applied Behavior Analysis (or ABA) is a science-driven approach focused on helping children learn skills and reduce challenges in daily life. Many people think ABA is only for autism, but it can support any child who needs help with communication, independence, or behavior.
What ABA Is: Personalized Growth
Individualized Plans
ABA therapy is tailored to each child's unique strengths and needs, creating specific goals and strategies for meaningful progress.
Data-Driven Progress
Progress is consistently measured and analyzed, allowing therapists to adapt strategies for optimal outcomes and ensure effectiveness.
Focus on Skills
ABA promotes positive behaviors and essential life skills, including communication, social interaction, and daily living activities.
What ABA Is Not: Beyond Misconceptions
Not "One-Size-Fits-All"
We reject generic programs. Our therapy is designed to fit your child, not the other way around, ensuring truly personalized care.
Not Just for Autism
While widely used for autism, ABA principles are applicable to a broad range of developmental and behavioral needs, benefiting diverse learners.
Not Robotic or Rigid
Modern ABA emphasizes naturalistic teaching, play-based learning, and building rapport, making sessions engaging and enjoyable for children.
